Vinay Waikul is an Indian director and scriptwriter, who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. He worked as an assistant director in many Bollywood films. Vinay Waikul directed The Test Case web series that premiered on Alt Balaji. He worked as an assistant director in the films, including Ghajini, Dangal, 3 Idiots, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Bas Ek Pal, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Shikhar, and Swades.
He currently lives in Mumbai. The film Ghajini (2008) has Aamir Khan in the lead role and it is directed by AR Murugadoss. Vinay Waikul worked as the second unit director in the movie Dangal (2016), which is based on the biographical story of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his two wrestler daughters who dreamed of winning the Commonwealth Games. This film won twenty-three awards. He also worked on the famous film 3 Idiots as an assistant director.
Vinay Waikul worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Swadesh and with Ajay Devgn and Shahid Kapoor in The Shikhar (2005). The Test Case (2018) and Mission Over Mars (2019) are his latest projects and both the web series premiered on Alt Balaji.
