Umesh Bist

Umesh Bist is a creative director and television software consultant in the Indian film industry. He did his post-graduation in 1987 from the college, “AJK Mass Communication Research Center, Jamia Millia Islamia University, India” and started producing and directing short films and documentaries. He made a project in 2012 for the Colors TV Channel named “Shaitan: A Criminal Mind.”

He started his career with the company ‘MIDITECH,” in September 2004 where he worked for seven years as a creative/series director for the shows “Kyunki Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai,” aired on Doordarshan, completing over five hundred episodes and “Gali Gali Sim Sim,” telecasted on Cartoon Network and Pogo Channel. The show got the Golden Eagle award in New York, USA.

In 2012, Umesh was a creative consultant for the Hindi-TV reality show ‘Apka Sapna Hamara Apna’ produced by Panasonic and was telecast on Zee TV. The professionalism of the artist was highly appreciated and known in the industry. Later in 2013, Bist developed a Hindi-television serial called “Zindagi.com” sponsored by NFDC. Umesh shot the pilot episodes and were approved by the agency. The show released back in August, 2013. Umesh has done several short movies and documentaries which were highly acknowledged for the direction and content.
