Samir Jagot is a Hindi Director from Rajkot, Gujarat. He was born on 16 April 1972. His love for art has encouraged him to make films. He has a production house named under Ctrl S. Through his production house Ctrl S, Samir is trying to provide a platform to the art and cinema lovers of Rajkot. He is very fond of short films, as they have the potential to convey more in short period of time. He has produced Award Winning short films like Samanjas, which depicts the life of deaf and dumb people. Samanjas is made in sign language only. Even the actors in the movie are deaf and dumb themself in reality, Asamanjas which competed in the Mica Film Festival, and Kyya Yahi Pyar Hai, is a musical film with no dialogues, it has only a song.
He has also done a telefilm, Jesus Christ for Doordrashan. Samir has made a documentary called Remove Polio for government campaigns to increase polio awareness. He made history in the Indian short film industry with his film Ami release in theatre.
