Sameeksha Katyal is a filmmaker. She is Indian-born, and she is from the United States. In addition to directing, Sameeksha has been a busy writer and theater performer. She has acted in several productions both in India and the United States. Sameeksha had collaborated with performers and directors from Delhi's National School of Drama as a writer, theater director, and performer in India. She successfully moved to the United States in 2016 on a scholarship to study at Drexel University and studied Economics and Acting. She trained in the Sanford Meisner acting techniques under the studio's direction in Manhattan, New York City. She has been actively associated with the Chelsea Repertory Lab at the Acting Studio since 2019.
She has also participated in several Broadway theater festivals. Sameeksha hopes to break out from the typical casting prevalent in the film business. She is passionate about empowering women. 2019 saw the release of U & Me, her debut short film, which she also co-produced while playing the lead role. With seven nominations, it gained recognition at other film festivals. In Interview from Hell (2020), Sameeksha makes her producing debut. Her project is the office comedy which has screened in more than ten countries, received over 20 prizes, and been selected for over 75 film festivals.
