Rana Rizwan is a Pakistani television director. He got prominence in 2012 by directing an Urdu sitcom called ‘Bulbulay’ for the network, ARY Digital. It was the most watched drama in a country like Pakistan and even achieved a higher TRP rating than that of a comedy series. The sitcom was centered around a typical Pakistani family who faces a lot of problems, but solve it by their wit and principle. The show was produced by Nabeel, and for this Pakistani network, this show ran longer than any others. 'Bulbulay' was the first project of MIF Productions. The serial had amazing dialogues and splendid performances from the cast. Rana Rizwan is one of the new generation directors who can easily offer escapist entertainment for depression-era audiences.
After the success of this sitcom, many feel that he can easily replicate the success again. The comedy sitcoms need not be particularly funny, but it has to keep people entertaining. Hence, the director must climb up on his current status. He must get attached to a good production company and can even make a small project and less mainstream batting. He has got his big hit already with ‘Bulbulay’, there is no reason why he cannot experiment further.
