Kamal Musale is a cinematographer, director, and writer of Indian and Swiss origins. He was born and raised in Switzerland. He studied for his graduate degree at National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, England. He has made several short films, feature films, and documentaries over the years. In the year 1972, he founded his own production house Les Films du Lotus in Switzerland. He is also the creator and director of Curry Western Productions in India since 2010 and Curry Western Entertainment Limited in England. He also founded the Swiss Indian Film Bridge in 2010 to enable the trade of content and films across India, Europe, and Switzerland.
Hisfilm Les Trois soldats was screened at Cannes Film Festival in 1989. His short film Three Soldiers (1989) was nominated for the Torino International Festival of Young Cinema. He won the Swiss Film Prize for Best Documentary film for ID Swiss (1999). His filmography includes Mother Teresa & ME (2022), Aline (2003), Ai Amour (1994), Courrier dub Pacifique (1998), Breakdown (1985), Bumbai Bird (screenplay) (2017), Dharavi, Slum For Sale (2010) (cinematographer) and many more.
