Jaicheng Dohutia is an Indian writer, producer, and director. He was born and raised in Assam, India. He studied film at Jyoti Chitraban Film and television institute, Guwahati. His debut movie is Haanduk (the hidden corner). Haanduk is centred on authentic news incidences and stories. This beautiful movie got a lot of love from the audience and won multiple awards like The Jury Grand Prize at 18th MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2016, Best Director at Pickur Flick Indie Film Festival, NETPAC Award for Best Asian film at All Light International Film Festival, Best Film at 7th Assam State Awards 2018 and Best Regional Film at 64th
