Deepneil Collins is an Indian director who primarily works in the Hindi film industry. He is also a screenwriter, editor, and actor with an experience of over nine years in the field. Deepneil was born on 30 June; 1997, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. After his schooling, he attended B.P Podder Institute of Management and Technology and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Though his degree warranted a different working field and experience, Deepeneil chose to pursue filmmaking as his career option.

He has always had an ineffable passion for the field, and wanted to try a hand in it and succeed. It was also the only Indian movie that made it up to this title. However, it was his 2020 short film, Bhayanak Chemistry, starring Tathagata Mukherjee and himself in the lead roles, which earned him fame and assurance in the field. The short film received huge appreciation from a large audience for its story and the way the film is loomed; it currently streams on Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, Hungama Play, Apple T.V., and Pocket Films. He also has two plays, written and directed by him, in his account; Shades for Sight, and Life Consultancy, both of them a success.

Though his passion for filmmaking is unparalleled, he had kept his love for the English language aside, safe, unadulterated, and kempt. In 2018, he started taking online spoken English classes for students to brush up and enclasp his knowledge. He has an experience of around ten years in the Spoken language. He is also the co-founder of Acrylic Pictures, a production company based in Kolkata, India.  In CSCP Annual Day 2019, organized by Calcutta School of Contemporary Photography, Deepneil was recognized and featured as the “Young Artist of Tomorrow.”
