Baljit Singh Chaddha

Baljit Singh Chaddha is a graduate of the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines. He completed his graduation from the International Exchange Program at McGill University (Canada) in 2004. Baljit started his career as a banker and worked in various banks and financial institutions such as Citibank, Barclays, and HSBC. At the end of his career, he left the bank and served as Vice President of the Credit Cards department in India at HSBC Bank. Baljit has always been passionate about storytelling and felt that this was his true calling, so he followed his dream.

Baljit worked as a producer and TV anchor in India, hosting various news specials such as Logo, In Focus, Movies, Money, and More. Following the Bloomberg report, Baljit, Star India Pvt. formed a partnership with him as the Associate Editor, he has produced many revolutionary dramas like Savdhan India, Supercops vs Supervillains, Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath, Khauff - Ringa Ringa Roses and many more. Following his tenure at Star India Pvt Ltd.

Baljit created digital content for various OTT platforms in India such as Alt Balaji, MX Player, and Zee5. Apharan - Sabka Katega, Code M, Paurashpur, Bichhoo ka Khel, Her Story, Cartel, Married Woman, Punchchbeat, Judgment-State v/s Nanavati. He has also launched many OTT shows under the banner Crime & Confessions, Virgin Bhaskkar, and more. Baljit Chaddha was elected as a Fellow of the Indian Emmy Awards International Academy in June of 2022. In October 2022, Baljit started his work as the producer and director of 9 PM Films.

Under Baljit's leadership, 9 PM Films successfully produced a strong line-up of TV shows, movies, and OTT products in India for broadcasters such as Viacom, Jio Studios, Voot, Epic On, Juggernaut, and others. 9 PM Films, led by Baljit, was one of India's fastest-growing content production companies, generating $2.6 million in revenue in its first year. Baljit has also produced and directed AngSang, a Punjabi film. Baljit was awarded the Most Influential Marketing Professional Award from the World Marketing Congress in 2022. In 2016, Baljit was nominated for the top 3 Global Bello Awards.
