B R Ishara (Babu Ram Ishara) was named as Roshan Lal Sharma, was born in 7th September 1934 in Bharwain, Chintpurni, Una, Himachal Pradesh, India. He was an Indian film director and a screenwriter as well. Ram did his schooling and graduation in his hometown. He then went to Bombay for his career.
He started his career in the year 1964 with the movie Awara Badal. He made his second debut for the film Insaaf Ka Mandir in the year 1969, as a Story writer. Then in the year 1970, he directed his third film Gunah Aur Kanoon. In the same year, he made another movie Chetna. In the very next year 1971 he made his debut in Man Tera Tan Mera.
Then in the year 1972, he made four films at a stretch namely Man Jaiye, Ek Nazar, Zaroorat, and Milap. In the next year 1973, Ram made five films, namely Nai Duniya Naye Log, Haathi Ke Daant, Ek Nao Do Kinare, Dil Ki Rahen, and Charitra. Then in the next year 1974, he got three movies Prem Shastra, Dawat, and Bazaar Band Karo. Later, in the year 1975, he directed “Kaagaz Ki Nao.” After a gap of three years in 1978, he made two movies Rahu Ketu and Pal Do Pal Ka Saath.
In the year 1979, he made Ghar Ki Laaj. Then he directed a couple of films named Khara Khota and Kaaran in the year 1981. In the year 1984, he depicted in Hum Do Hamare Do as an actor, who played a role being himself. Then in the year 1996, he directed two more films Sautela Bhai and Hukumnama. Ishara departed from this world on 25th July 2012 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Ram’s death was caused because of Tuberculosis. He died at 1:30 am in Criticare hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The happy soul left all of us in great grief, at the age of seventy-seven years. His contribution to the industry will always be recognized and remembered.
