The show starts by showing how Meerab and Hassab lead a happy family life with their two children. Hassab provides a very lavish and luxurious life for his wife and children by taking huge loans from the bank. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, he goes bankrupt.

Not being able to bear his loss, he commits suicide. Meerab now finds herself helpless as she was a loving housewife, totally dependent on her husband for finance. After her husband’s untimely demise, she finds herself to be the sole bread earner of her family. Her children too are shattered by the tragic events. Saad, Hasab’s best friend and cousin comes in to help and support the family. However, it is seen that Meerab does not require the help of a man to stand on her own two feet and becomes successful. When Saad asks her hand in marriage, Meerab leaves the city for a few days to take a break from things. Many years later, she meets the Saad family and the show ends on a happy note.
