Anil Chorasiya

Besides being a director, Anil Chorasiya is also a scriptwriter, and filmmaker. He has his focus on the future of the cinema, and this can be seen in his work. Mumbai is a part of his life; he was born there, spent his childhood there and learned filmmaking there only. Both his parents are Hindu, and just like any other Indian his father goes outside to earn money by working hard, and his mother takes care of the ome. But his ambitions were different; he was determined to do something in film industry. So as soon as his school got over, he took his first steps towards making films by getting himself enrolled for a filmmaking learning program by some Hollywood directors. It was a small step but it meant big success at that time at least.

The next step was Mumbai Film Academy, commonly known as MFA, to learn filmmaking from the expert faculties there. He took an internship there for three years or so. During that time he worked very hard, and on a lot of ad films, documentary films etc. The biggest job given to him was creating a live flash mob activity that would break all existing world records, and create a new one. It involved almost 150 artists. It was his challenge and there’s no doubt in saying that he won. This triggered a series of challenges in his life but for a healthy and growing career. He is always very eager to learn new things so after his internship was over he attended a lot of international workshops by different people. He started working on a lot of independent ads and documentary films.

He also worked on directing short films actively for film festivals. But he didn’t want to stop on the short films, ads or anything else. He has always been very passionate about filmmaking, and it is the only reason why he was given the work of supervising all the filmmaking projects in MFA (Mumbai Film Academy). He is currently working in MFA as the Creative Director – Filmmaker. He has shot various national and international short films, ads etc. The most recent ad film shot by him was for Rhumaa fashion brand, and he completed whole shooting in just 36 hours. All this can clearly suggest how efficient he is when it comes to work!
