Dev Agarwal was born on 15th august 1984 in Kolkata, India. He works as a DOP in the Bollywood film industry. He has attended the one-year photography course from the Society of Photographers, Kolkata in 2001. Then he has completed B.A in Mass Communication and Film Studies from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata during the year 2002-2005, and followed by Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography from the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune during the year 2005-2009.
Now he is settled in Mumbai. In the year 2012, he started his own company, Purple Haze. He is very much fond of shooting documentaries and still photography. He has worked with many Indian as well as International Artists and Theatre Directors. He has mainly shot commercials, feature films, documentaries, short fiction, and corporate films.
