Abhi Bardarshahi is one of the members of the dance crew Janam that won the first runner up award in the show 'Dance Plus' aired on Star Plus. Abhi grew up in Porbandar, Gujarat. He holds a degree in commerce from the S.M. Patel Institute of Commerce, Ahmedabad. Abhi never thought of pursuing a career in dance. He joined a dance class intending to reduce his weight but found a new interest in dancing, so he started learning different dancing techniques from dance masters.
In 2017, he joined The Dark Criminals Dance group, and compete in India's Got Talent. After earning a handful of an audience from the show, Abhi, with his crew, entered Dance Plus with a new group name 'Janam.' The crew's performances were received well by the audience, who took them to the finals of the show through the voting process. Abhi's group came as the runners of the dance program and gained immense popularity among the viewers.
After the show, he received a hero's welcome in his hometown Porbandar and was invited to school and college events. Abhi, and his crew, post group dance videos regularly on their social media platforms and have enormous followers count.Â
