Nawed Khan

Nawed Khan, a.k.a. Browncoat, is a well-known figure in India's electronic music industry. Nawed, along with his friends Nikhil and Pearl Chinapa, has been involved with EDM in India for over a decade and hence has a unified perspective on what has been and what is. In Mumbai, he grew up in a humble home. He didn't have much exposure to international music because he grew up before the internet era. When he first heard dance music in school, he felt as if he was connected to a world beyond his immediate surroundings and was beyond just ordinary.

Nawed, who is a resident of Submerge, India's most prominent artist management company, and dance music promoter, has always kept ahead of India's slow-paced music industry. He has been so by purchasing and playing brand new tunes as well as nearly impossible-to-find versions of classics. He's a regular at clubs around India and Southeast Asia, and he's one of the few Indian DJs to have successfully performed across America, Asia, Australia, Africa, and Europe throughout the course of his 15-year career.

Nawed has shared the stage with DJs from all around the world, including Tiesto, Zedd, Axwell, Paul Van Dyk, Wolfpack, Dimitri Vegas, and many more.
