Naresh Bedi is a renowned Indian director, producer, and cinematographer. Naresh Bedi was born in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Naresh's interest in photography blossomed at an early age. He covered an official visit of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Naresh held his first exhibition at just the age of 19 that was sponsored by Max Mueller. Naresh has always been a passionate and studious child and was clear about his aim from the beginning. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, and received a gold medal for the best performance in all the fields. Naresh's first film focused on animal feeding by covering the Delhi Zoo and Connaught Place, and was streamed on Doordarshan.

Bedi's wildlife photography gave the world multiple new theories. His lens saw, and the camera captured something that was never shown before, like the first recording of the reproduction of gharials, nursing, leopards hunting tigers, and many more. A person like Naresh, who has such an extraordinary dedication towards his work, cannot be left without any award. He was served with many prestigious awards. He was honoured with the Wild screen Panda Award for best cinematography for the film, The Ganges Gharial, and he is the first Asian to receive the same.

Later, his two films, Saving The Tiger and Man-Eating Tiger, were nominated for the British Academy Film Awards, again the first Indian film to be nominated for the same. One of his most successful films that received 15 awards, including the Wild Screen Panda Award, International Wildlife Film Festival Award, three Classic Telly Awards, and many more, was Cherub of the Mist. Words fall short when we have to praise his work because his obsession with wildlife is commendable, and he has enriched our nation with various minutes of nature.

Keeping in mind the enormous contribution of Naresh Bedi to wildlife learning, the Government of India in 2015 awarded him the Padma Shri award. Bedi's work didn't just receive appreciation nationally; in fact, his talks were spread widely internationally. His work was telecast on the BBC, Discovery Channel, Canal Plus, etc. He has written six books along with his brother, Rajesh Bedi.

Bedi's children are following their father’s footprints as their films are nominated for Emmy Awards. Naresh Bedi is one of the most valuable assets of our country, and we will always be indebted to him for teaching us various unseen aspects of wildlife. Our team of Nettv4u thanks him for holding our country's prestige high.
