Vaibhav Mahajan

He is married to Arya Mahajan Bio coming soon... >> Read More... . After completing his general schooling, Vaibhav Mahajan pursued his bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He was initially prepping for his MBA but decided to try hotel management because he was not sure of clearing his exams. Vaibhav Mahajan always had an affinity towards food. Still, he did not fully consider a career in the hospitality industry till he enrolled in a diploma course in hotel management and catering technology at the Anjuman I Islam Institute and graduated with a specialization in restaurant management. During this time, Vaibhav Mahajan excelled in his studies as well as his extra-curricular activities.

Vaibhav Mahajan got his first industrial exposure at the the Taj Mahal in Mumbai. After completing his diploma, Vaibhav Mahajan joined ITC’s Grand Maratha Sheraton in 2003. For this post, he trained at the Welcome Group Management Institute for two years as a Kitchen Executive (Chef) in the Culinary Arts Trainee Program. Vaibhav Mahajan began working at the Grand Maratha Sheraton as a junior sous chef and worked his way up. He went from being section head to head chef at the Peshwa Pavilion coffee shop. Vaibhav Mahajan was the chef in charge of The Grill Room and Western Banquets. After spending more than five years with ITC, he decided to quit his job and turn to the onscreen industry.

The actor turned entertainer first tried to run a YouTube program known as ‘Organic Living' for The Art of Living Foundation by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. But he indeed rose to popularity with his show ‘Rice N Roti,’ which aired on Zee Living Foodz. During this period, Vaibhav Mahajan also worked as a freelance food stylist for print and motion media. He even founded his own company- Castor Sugar, which deals in food styling, professional food photography, and advisory solutions for kitchen and restaurant planning. For a brief period, he worked as a head chef at Shrfyoga in Karnataka. In 2023, Vaibhav Mahajan returned back to ITC hotels as the Executive Sous Chef at their flagship luxury hotel- Maurya. Vaibhav Mahajan also works as a visiting faculty member at Bharati Vidyapeeth's School of Photography in Pune and Magic Pixel’s Udaan in Mumbai.
