What brought a significant change in her life was when she got a chance to work in "Small Budget Big Makeover" by FYI TV18, along with her partner Muninder Singh.

This show was all about transformation. In the show, Muninder, the "Transformer" and Vishakha, the "Ingenious" employ a small sum of money and loads of creativity to transform people's houses into their dream homes. It was through this program that Vishakha Dholakia Chowdhry got immense fame and recognition.

The show for Vishakha is a way to establish a relationship between her designing skills and people in genuine need. When asked about her journey as an architect and as an anchor of a hit show, she claimed that architecture is something which comes naturally to her, but being an anchor in a Reality Show put her out of her comfort zone and challenged her in every way possible.

Recycle, reuse, refurbish, refinish are some of her creative ideas. Since being an architect Vishakha helps people build their dream homes, it is interesting to know what is her idea of a dream home. During a quiz, she said that her dream home has various large windows, and it is surrounded by greenery. Her dream house is furnished with a plethora of paintings. Art should be a defining characteristic of her home.

When asked about how she manages her professional as well as personal life, she says that she sets certain hours of the day which are to be spent only with kids. She has reserved all Wednesday nights for a date with her better half. Thus, being one of the most renounced architects she keeps an apt balance between her professional and personal space.
