Naturally, Aadya like her relatives had a taste for creativity and she wanted to be an actress since her childhood. Aadya completed her masters in Fine Arts and soon started to work in theater plays and skits. Aadya made a name for herself in the theater scene in the USA and soon she came to India for her debut on the silver screen.
It was in 1999 when Aadya starred in Split Wide Open. Aadya had a small supporting role.After her debut, Aadya moved back to USA to work in the theater and TV industry. Aadya worked on the famous Playwrights Horizon where she acted in numerous plays and also won an award for best supporting actress.
Her other notable work came on the super hit show Law and Order, where she portrays the character of Jasmina Khan. Aadya returned to Bollywood after her 11 year hiatus in 2011’s Koel.
