Suman Roy is an Indian art director who is known for his work in the Bollywood industry. He has worked in the production design department for several popular movies and television advertisements. Suman’s passion lies in all the more artistic sides of cinematography. He initially studied architecture at Jadavpur University, and during this period, he discovered a love for movies and creative design.
He moved to Pune from his home in Kolkata to study in a prominent film making and design course offered by the prestigious Film and TV Institute of India (FTTI) in 2005. While pursuing a diploma in Art Direction and Production design, he met his business partner and wife, PallaviBagga. They were brought together during their days in college by their shared interests and passion for cinema.
Suman began his career in 2010 as the production designer for the movies, ‘Peepli’ and ‘Shor in the City.’ Following his success in these films,Suman and Pallavi began working on several other movies like ‘Jolly LLB,’ ‘
,’ ‘Micky Virus,’ and ‘
.’ They have also been a part of the national award-winning movie, ‘Afterglow.’ This short movie was critically acclaimed on national and international platforms. The duo has taken on many projects, and they spend their days perfecting shoot scenes and chasing after new ideas. They are highly sought after for their talent and creative flair.
