Jaya Seal Ghosh

Jaya Seal Ghosh is an Indian actress and producer from Assam. She was born in Guwahati on 19th February 1963. She studied at KRB Girls High School in Guwahati and moved to Delhi for higher education, where she learned theatre at the National School of Drama. Later, she pursued her graduation at Guwahati University. She also learned multiple dance forms in her early childhood, such as Bharatnatyam and Bihu dance. Jaya has acted in 19 films in 8 languages across India.

She has done movies in the languages: Bengali, Hindi, Assamese, Tamil, Kannada, Odia, and Telugu. Some of the more prominent awards received by Jaya Ghosh are the Best Actress Award Lonawala Film Fest, Assam Parag Ginnie Award, and Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival. In the 2003 Pussan Picture Festival, she was honored with the best foreign picture and New Currents awards.
