Nazir Mansoori is an Indian novelist and short story writer. He writes prominently in the Gujarati language. Mansuri was born on November 1, 1965, in Madhvad port near Diu Island, India. His works were translated by Sachin Ketkar and Hemang Desai. Nazir Mansoori works as a professor at a college in Navsari. Apart from being a writer, Nazir Mansoori is also a film producer. He produced the movie Koi Ne Kehsho Nahi. It is a Gujarati comedy movie directed by Dinesh Avasthi. The film was released on November 7, 2013.
Mansoori is well known for his work called “Bhuthar .”He received several awards for the short story. The most prestigious among them are the Katha Award for creative fiction in 1997. In 1999, he received Sanskruti Pratishthan Award. His story “Bhuthar.” The short story was also selected for The Best of the Nineties’ Fiction brought out by Katha Foundation, Delhi.
