Chunilal Madia was a Gujarati author born on 12th August; 1922 of Dhoraji, Gujarat, India. He is a graduate in Bcom at HL College of Commerce in Ahmedabad and also joined as a journalist and sub-editor for the daily Prabhat. Later, he worked in the department of Janmabhumi and the Gujarati department of USIS from the duration of 1950 to 1962. He is the author of famous novels, short stories, poems, essays, and plays. He characterized the rural life and culture of the Saurashtra region and had an excellent knowledge of literacy and stage ability. In 1947, he was awarded Narmad Suvarna Chandrak for his play Rangada, and won Ranjitram Suvarna Chandrak in 1957.
