Damini Mehta was one of the most fine actresses of the Gujarati Theatres. She was part of the Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. Under the guidance of actors Kailash Pandya and Damini Mehta, the drama section of the academy has produced over 100 variations of theatrical production. She has supported and helped the revival of Bhavai, a Gujarati Folk art. She trained children and adults in the Theatre Media Centre in Gujarat after she left the Academy. She passed away in January 2019.
