Pravin Joshi was an Indian stage actor and director born on 1 January 1934. He was the leading personality of the commercial Gujarati theatre. Pravin Joshi was the dynamic personality of the Gujarati stage. He received attention when participating in the one-act play competitions organized by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Bombay. He climbed success from arena inter-collegiate competitions to the professional Gujarati theatre. In 1956, Pravin joined the Indian National Theatre and trained under Damu Jhaveri. He directed and acted in several successful movies and shows, including Mogarana Sap in 1963, Manju Manju, Chandarvo, and Santu Rangili.
