Bassam is a diverse, multifaceted artist. Along with being an actor, he also possesses a wide range of talents, including singing, playing the guitar, the tabla (a Middle Eastern drum akin to the bongos), and martial arts prowess. He also excels at numerous impersonations and accents. He is fluent in Arabic and has some knowledge of Spanish, and his racially ambiguous appearance helps him to fit into a variety of positions. He has a strong sense of responsibility and pursues perfection in all he does. Bassam has acted in several indie feature films as well as the television shows The Chi on Showtime and Electric Dreams by Philip K. Dick on Amazon. He has performed with the Chicago Sinfonietta, Silk Road Rising, Remy Bumppo Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre, Stage Left Theatre, TimeLine Theatre, Steep Theatre, and Broadway Playhouse.
