A K M Shafiqur Rahman, also known as Shafiq Tuhin, is a Bangladeshi lyricist, music director, and singer. He was born on September 27, 1975. Shafiq Tuhin, son of M. A. Sabur and Halima Khatun, acquired HSC and SSC qualifications from Dhaka Science College and Keru High School, respectively. He later received a Master's degree from the University of Dhaka. Tuhin began penning song lyrics in 1995. Shakila Zafar, a vocalist, performed his first composition. He has composed songs for many singers. Some singers Shafiq has worked with are Runa Laila, Tapan Chowdhury, Shahnaz Rahmatullah, Sabina Yasmin, Shahnaz Rahmatullah, and Kumar Bishwajit. He gained notoriety almost a decade ago with the love song "Er Beshi Bhalobasha Jayna" released in 2010.
Shafiq Tuhin's most well-known tracks include Er Beshi Bhalobasha Jai Na, Surjo Muchki Hashey, Joley Joley Jonaki, Tomar Chokh-er Anginai, Anyorokom bhalobasha, Charpashe Eto Alo, Bhuler Bhalobasa, Josna Pore Gole Gole, Hridoy Diye, Moneri Dame, Behaya Mon, Sharthopor, Salma Sultana, Valobashi Boro Valobashi. Shafiq Tuhin is one of the most well-known lyricists and artists in Bangladesh. He received the National Film Award for Best Lyricist in 2011. In 2006, 2011, and 2013, he won the Citycell-Channel I Music Award three times. Other honors include the Bangladesh Chalachitra Sangbadik Samity (BCSS) Award in 2002, the Bangladesh Television Reporters Unity Award in 2003, the Bangladesh Cultural Reporters Association (BCRA) Award in 2003, the CJFB Award in 2004, and the Television Reporters Association Award in 2007 among others.
