Prastuti Parashar is, also known as Prastuti Porasor, is an Assamese film and stage actress. On December 15, 1980, she was born in Malow Ali, Jorhat in Assam, India. Her father’s name is Bijoy Chandra Sarma, the former college principal of Jagannath Barooah College. She did her schooling at Balya Bhavan, Jorhat. Later, she completed her college education at Jagannath Barooah College, India. Her hobbies are acting, dancing, and painting. She loves eating Italian, Chinese, and Assamese dishes. Prastuti Parashar has been interested in the acting field from a very young age. She initiated her acting career when she was five years with a television serial named “Barnali,” telecasted on Doordarshan in 1985. After that, she has worked in several Assamese films, television serials, and stage dramas. She won the Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival award as Best Actor Female for Mriganabhi in 2016. She received Prag Cine Awards as Best Female for Mriganabhi in 2016. She again won the Prag Cine Awards as Best Actor Female for Doordarshan Eti Jantra in 2017. Also, Prastuti Parashar was nominated as the Best Actress for Moonlight Award 2008 – 2009.
