Madhusmita Dihingia is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Assamese serials and movies. Madhusmita Dihingia was born to Dulu Dihingia and Lakhimoni Dihingia on January 17, in Geleky, Sivasagar district (Assam). Madhusmita Dihingia attended Sivsagar School for her elementary and middle school education. After that, she relocated to Guwahati's Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya Ganeshguri. There, she finished tenth grade. She then enrolled in B Borooah College and studied the arts in classes 11 and 12. She graduated from B Borooh College with a B.A. in Assamese literature.

At Cotton University in Guwahati, Madhusmita Dihingia is pursuing her post-graduation in Assamese literature. Madhusmita Dihingia is a Bihu dancer. She had studied Bihu dance since she was a young child. At Sivasagar, she first stepped onto the stage to dance. She once went to a dance contest in Guwahati. She traveled with her team to Uttar Pradesh to compete in dance and acting competitions. She performed her debut theatrical play in Uttar Pradesh. The play was titled "Jote Prem Tate Bhagawan." She was awarded Best Junior Actress there. On a Doordarshan program, she had her first experience performing in front of a camera. Madhusmita Dihingia performed in numerous video songs and Assamese serials.

"Panidoia Jaapi" was the title of her debut music video. Other video songs include Nai Nai Guarantee and others. "Indradhanu" was the title of her debut Assamese series. But she only had a minor part. She later performed in "Bharaghar."
