Bobby Sarma Baruah, also known as Bobby Sarma Baruah, is a well-known Activist. Her birthplace is India. Bobby Sarma Baruah began her professional career as an Activist after she completed her official schooling. Bobby Sarma Baruah's father was a sculptor, painter, and artist. She was the oldest of three siblings, and she grew up under her mother's support, learning to sing and dance and competing in numerous cultural events. She began developing her writing abilities in the fifth grade, publishing her poetry in local regional news media, and has continued to do so ever since.

She is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter whose narrative material on socio-cultural concerns in Assam and the North East has received widespread acclaim. Gauhati University is where she obtained her Master of Arts, Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism, and Bachelor of Education. Bobby Sarma Baruah has a lot of short films, documentaries, music videos, and TV serials to her credit as a director, producer, and playwright on many indigenous folk cultures mixed into one. She is also an outstanding Assamese poet and short story writer. She worked as a scriptwriter for the Assamese feature film Adomya (Indomitable) and the Rajbangshi feature film Sonar Baran Pakhi (The Golden Wing).

Bobby Sarma Baruah received a Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for her research on ethnic jewellery and apparel from the eight states of northeast India. In 2016, she also served as a jury at the prestigious 14th Dhaka International Film Festival and the Lucknow Children's International Film Festival. She is now doing her doctorate studies for a PhD on the significance of Assamese traditional culture in an Assamese film. At the 13th Dhaka International Film Festival, her debut feature film Adomya, in which she addressed the sensitivity and emotional world of women, was named the best film in the spiritual category.

Adomya was also an official selection at over sixteen international film festivals throughout the world. Sonar Baran Pakhi, a biopic based on the true story and times of Assam's legendary folk singer Padmashree Pratima Barua Pandey, has been selected as an official entry in 20 different international festivals, in addition to winning the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature Film at the 15th Indian Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Best Audience Choice Award at the 15th Dhaka International Film Festival.
