Sumesh And Ramesh Movie Review
ORE AST REW
- Sanoop Thykoodam
- Performances of the female leads are impressive
- Certain scenes and characters should have been improved
- Execution looks old-styled
Sumesh And Ramesh is scripted and directed by Sanoop Thykoodam. Joseph Vijeesh co-scripted the film. Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, “Praveena,” Salim Kumar, Shebin Benson, Devika Krishnan, and Karthika Vellatheri are cast. Fareed Khan produced the film.
Sumesh and Ramesh are brothers, and their mother is the only one who earns and manages the family. Even their father is not interested in working and making bucks for their family. After a few years, Ramesh, the younger one, gets a job, and he gets married. Now, Sumesh is forced to get a job to settle in life. What does he do? The rest of the film deals with it.
Praveena did an excellent job, and she is good in the emotional scenes. Similarly, Devika and Karthika are decent in their roles. It is unclear why Salim Kumar and Sreenath Bhasi didn’t settle for their roles. Sreenath Bhasi and Balu Varghese didn’t have enough chemistry to showcase the siblings’ bonding.
The script and screenplay are not much attractive. The script seems to have been made in the 90s style and doesn’t fit the contemporary format. The comedy scenes are okay and not much impressive. Similarly, Sumesh’s characterization should have been better. Some of his scenes lacked grip and hadn’t created any impact. The BGM and cinematography are decent.
What’s Not There?
Although the film has some minuses, it is a family entertainer with decent performances. In this season of thrillers, these kinds of family movies are most-welcomed.
