Rorschach Movie Review

4 / 5.0

Rorschach is a neo-noir thriller film scripted by Sameer Abdul and directed by Nisam Basheer. “Mammootty” bankrolled the movie under the banner Mammootty Kampany. Nimish Ravi is the cinematographer, and Kiran Das handled the editing. Midhun Mukundan composed the music. The film features Mammootty, “Sharafudeen,” Asif Ali, Grace Antony, “Jagadish,” Sanju Sivaram, Kottayam Nazeer, Bindu Panicker, and George Abraham.

Luke Antony and his wife are expecting a child. Unfortunately, she was killed by Dileep Balan along with her unborn twins. Dileep is also dead, but Luke feels his existence. So, Luke threatens Dileep’s family. As a result, Dileep haunts Luke Antony from his grave. Were these true or an assumption of Luke? The rest of the film deals with this.

Star Performance

Mammootty is stunning, as usual. His expressions are impressive and he gelled well in the role. Asif Ali is good in the given role. Grace Antony, Sharafudeen, Sanju Sivaram, and Jagadish are pretty decent in their roles. Bindu gets appreciation for her excellent performance.

The story is new and exciting. Though the stars perform well, the screenplay and execution should be neat to project the performances, and that’s 100% in this film. Sameer Abdul should be appreciated for his excellent script. The cinematography is fantastic. Nimish Ravi’s camera work is rich, and the visuals are sharp even in the dark. The editing is crisp, and there are no unwanted scenes present.
