Movies on time travel are quite rare in Kannada, and the director should be applauded for this effort.

A scientist leaves his fortune to a guy who is studying engineering during the year 2015.The fortune includes a time machine. With the help of the machine the student gets acquainted with a student of 1999 (in 2015 she would be more than 30 years)  and gets attracted towards her. What happens to the student’s love life? Watch the movie to know more.

Star Performances

Diganth has done a wonderful job, and he excels in his expressions. With a hairstyle that suits him, he looks chic. Kriti Karbanda looks ravishing and has done what is required of her. Special mention should be given to the pairing of the two since their onscreen chemistry is good. Dilip Raj, as Diganth’s close buddy, has done an appreciable job.

Minchagi Nee Baralu falls under the genre of science fiction. Randeep Shantharam Mahadik has handled the direction of this movie. There are only minimal characters in the movie, but that doesn’t hinder in the good pace fo te movie. Randeep was working as an assistant to ace director Rajkumar Santoshi. Initially, he wanted to make a movie in Hindi but finally he directed in Kannada. There are traces of a Korean movie in this film, but that can be forgiven thanks to the smart presentation of the director; he has interspersed all the commercial elements needed to suit the taste of the Kannada audience.

What’s there?

1.    Music of V Harikrishna is just ok.
2.    The productions values are ok.
3.    The movie has a fresh plot and is engrossing.
4.    The cinematography of Mahesh Talkad is excellent.

What’s not there?

The first half could have been filmed better.

Minchagi Nee Baralu is a welcoming sign to Sandalwood.
