It showcases how people often choose wealth over love. Aliya is the only daughter of her wealthy parents, Akhtar and Durdana. His father has become blind after an accident, so her mother handles the whole business. Aliya is in love with her classmate, Iqbal.
However, her mother rejects him due to his low status. Durdana wants her daughter to marry Iftikhar, who is rich and handsome. She considers him equal to their social status.
