Khalish is an Urdu Language drama serial that aired on the Pakistani channel GEO TV. It was released on the 14th of February, 2018, and continued to air every Wednesday and then every Saturday until its final episode on the 19th of August, 2018. The plot follows a young man, Sahil, who is struggling to make ends meet for himself and his mother. Although conditions are dire, he continues to grind, because his mother raised him to be a strong, educated, and independent man, and she is the only one he has.

He gets rejected from the jobs that he applied for and the love of his life whom he planned to marry and have a family with, turned him down because her family was forcing her to marry a rich man. Sahil returns home, depressed and dejected, and his mother tends to him and assures him that everything will eventually work out. However, his mother dies soon after, leaving him with a secret that devastates him. He finds out that his father is not dead, and is a wealthy businessman called Altamash Behrum. Altamush shows up at Sahil’s mother’s funeral and the show moves back and forth from the present to the past. The flashbacks show the audience that Sahil’s father was in contact with his mother all along.

He knew everything about Sahil and loved his son very much, yet could not be much of a father to him because his family did not accept him and his wife as a couple. So they were left alone, to fend for themselves, but he helped them in whatever way that he could. Altamush begged for Sahil’s forgiveness at his mother’s funeral, because he just lost his love and his wife, but he was not ready to lose his son.

Sahil, however, was adamant about his decision and hated his father with a passion. A few days later though, Sahil pays a visit to Altamush’s office, claiming that he is ready to accept his help. Sahil manages to make his way into Altamush’s house and make the family trust and love him, but his ultimate goal was to destroy his empire from within. He devises a series of plans and begins his journey to take down the man who hurt him and his mother.
