Dhoop Mein Sawan is a Pakistani serial premiered in 1998 on PTV Home. The serial focuses on the life Saba, a young, independent and hard-working woman. Dhoop Mein Sawan is the story of Saba and Asim, her fiancé as they act of being happy with each has other. However, whenever Saba meets Asim, they end up having a conflict. Asim has opposite characteristics compared to Saba. He works in his father's production company and has a rigid mindset with a dominating personality. Batool, who works in the video editing department in Asim's father's company develops and attraction for Asim. On learning about Asim's marriage, Batool tries to create problems for Saba.

On the wedding night when Sara's father asks her willingness for the marriage, just to make her family happy she affirms the decision. However, the story escalates when Sara (Saba's sister) tells her not to ruin her life and cancel the wedding for her happiness. Saba decides not to marry Asim due to their incompatibility and constant conflicts. Asim gets heartbroken and commits suicide by consuming an overdose of sleeping pills. To make things worse, Batool blames Asim's suicide on Saba. While Maryam (Asim's mother) breaks all ties with Saba and her family, Taimoor (Asim's brother) develops feelings for Saba and decides to marry her.

Maryam pressures Saba to deny Taimoor, while Batool plans to keep Taimoor away from Saba. What will happen next? Will Saba marry Taimoor?
