Anokha Ladla is a Pakistani drama series in the Urdu language. This serial was aired on 1st October 2010 and ended on 19th September 2013. It used to air on PTV (Pakistan Television Corporation). It has three seasons with a little over 100 episodes. Aamir Yousif has directed the first season. Mohammad Asar Asghar has directed the second and third seasons. J.S. Midu comes from a middle-class family in a village. He could not complete his education. That does not stop him from dreaming big. He dreams of making a name for himself. He wants to be successful in life and make history. He gets an idea to stand in the elections of the village. He fails the elections miserably because the villagers see him as ill-fit. After all, he is poor and uneducated. His opponent was a powerful and wealthy man. But he was not a good person. Midu becomes sorrowful and decides to go to the city to seek a good job. He wants to earn good money to win the elections next time. He starts working as a servant at a rich businessman’s house. Gradually, Midu befriends his master and shares his problem with him. His master helps him realize that he needs guidance, not just wealth to stand against such a powerful opponent.

Midu fulfills his servant duties while also getting life lessons from his master. The rich businessman tutors him for personal development. He trains Midu how to become rich while also becoming knowledgeable at the same time. After a long time, Midu decides he has learned enough. He now desires to go back to his village. Midu has become a changed man. He stands in the elections one more time. This time Midu uses his newfound knowledge and experience in the election. Finally, he wins the election and thus establishes himself in the society. Anokha is an endearing serial. The audience loved this serial because it shows the simplicity of a man who wants to work hard to be successful.
