Both of them are always ready to sacrifice their happiness for the other. After some time, Durgamma, the wife of Prasad, and Priya became pregnant. However, due to societal pressure, Durgamma vows to kill herself if the child is not a boy. Unfortunately, she gives birth to a girl, Tulasi, and Priya birthed a boy, Adhitya. Hence, to save Durgamma, the family decides to exchange the children. Everyone except Durgamma knows the truth about the kids.

As time passes by, Adhitya and Tulasi fall in love with each other and marry. Although Tulasi convinced Durgamma of their wedding, she refused to accept her as her daughter-in-law. Later, Lakshmi, the former fiancé of Aditya, her grandmother, and Durgamma constantly plot against the couple to separate them. After many twists and turns, Tulasi and Aditya learn about their true parentage. Finally, Durgamma accepts Tulasi as her daughter.The serial ends when Tulasi gives birth to twin daughters, and the now-changed Durgamma readily accepts her granddaughters, indicating a happily ever after.
