She became so engrossed in the character that it took days for her to come out of the impact of the negative role after the serial ended.
She took a break when her children were born and then she entered the small screen through the serial “Kalyanam”. Prem is a Tamil serial and movie actor. He was born and brought up in Chennai. He debuted in Bharathiraja’s ‘Eera Nilam’ as the hero’s brother in 2003. He then shifted to serials and now appears regularly on both screens.
Prem is the son of a late DSP. After his debut giving almost nothing, he acted in K.Balachander’s ‘Anni’ and learnt a lot from it and the director. He then starred in Radaan’s ‘Annamalai’. Director C.J.Baskar had made him wait the whole day on its inauguration and gave him a chirpy youngster’s role. He was happy to do that, since he was about to break from his cliched soft roles.
Prem was noticed for his performances, especially in a scene when he had to just watch Veteran actors Sivakumar and Kuyili act, by the then Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi who gave him a chance in ‘Kannamma’. He received compliments from the Chief Minister himself post release.
