The show dealt with issues that were considered taboo, such as those related to marital affairs, sexual and mental health, and many other such issues that were very prevalent but not openly discussed. The story of the series shows the life of a woman named Anjana. Her husband Lingesh makes some reckless behavior and lifestyle choices which end up alienating her and drastically affecting the marriage and causing Anjana to sink into depression.
When she becomes a lecturer at a college, she comes across a final- year student named Yashwin and forces him to comply with her advances and he, being in love with another girl named Yazhini, becomes rather uncomfortable because of the entire situation. On the other hand, Lingesh starts suspecting Anjana, and the complex web of lies she created ultimately implodes, affecting everyone involved. The complex nature of the characters, as well as the storyline, serves as an essential message for the audience that goes beyond being mere entertainment.
