It is a historical fiction based on the life of Prince Salim, the son of the great, Akbar and Jodha. The drama shows the growing years of Prince Salim after he sent it to the battlefield as a training period for twelve long years. The show also focuses on the passionate love of Salim and Anarkali as the central theme. Anarkali is the niece of a servant working in the court of Akbar. Both grew up together as best friends in the court, later their story takes another direction. Other characters include Akbar, Jodha bai, Rukaiya, Mahamaanga. Somehow their love story flows with time after facing many obstacles. It is a Tamil tv serial aired on Doordarshan.
