Annapoorani is the family matriarch. She is strict yet affectionate. Annapoorani doesn’t like people lying. She didn’t speak with her husband for 15 years when he lied. Pradeepa is her daughter-in-law, a dance teacher. Gomathi is their neighbour. She always wears kilos of jewels. She wrongly advises Annapoorani to exchange Pradeepa’s old jewels for new ones. Pradeepa’s jewels are not original, as her father was not in a situation to get her gold jewels during her marriage. Pradeepa couldn’t even guess what her mother-in-law’s reaction would be if she found her jewels were not original. What will happen next? The rest of the drama focuses on how Pradeepa escapes from her mother-in-law’s jewel exchange and who helps her.
