Adhe Kangal is a show that dives into the intricacies of Indian mythologies and horror folklore about witches. The story is about Mohana Rathod, a 251 years old Daayan, who sustains herself by sucking out life-force from her victims. She puts Mridul Rathod of Rathod's family under a spell and marries him, which leads to the couple having two children, Ansh and Kajal. But staying true to her nature, the witch Mohana kills Mridul by slowly draining his vitality. A family member of Rathod, Vedashree goes suspicious of Mohana and seeks the help of her Psychical wizardess friend who wards off the evil eye by slashing Mohana's plait, leaving Mohana powerless and then seals her in a temple. Vedashree adopts Mohana's children Ansh and Kajal. Both the kids grow up in Vedashree's household. But Mohana returns with vengeance in her eyes and thirst in her blood. How she takes her revenge and unleash doom onto the happy family and how the family fights back form the rest of this supernatural thriller.
