The show depicts the story in Sabaragamuwa province in Sri Lanka in 1880. The story depicts the history, culture, and civilization of the place. It also presents some of the battles fought in Sri Lanka. The war was between a group of Sri Lankans. During those times the people mostly relied on agriculture, and the societies were underdeveloped. The main characters of the story are Ketihamy and Pichchi. They are husband and wife. Ketihamy is a farmer. They are exiled from Kolonna Korale to another place called Atakaran korale as a punishment. After the exhalation, walk through many paths with numerous cliffs and rivers.

The show also introduces Pichchi's mother. When they walk through a dense forest they come in contact with Hathirihan Rala, who offers to assist them. They then start their own new life. They start cultivating Chena. In that isolated place living was difficult. At the time Pichchi becomes pregnant and Hathirihan Rala, who arrives to assist with the delivery, is drowned. Pichchi and her Ketihamy face the situation bravely but a bad fate encounters them. Their first child Gunadari, becomes blinded after being caught by a leopard. They have another child named Dhavith. Keithhamy started to grow paddy and expanded it but it was distributed among other people due to the orders from authority. They accepted the inequality as it was an order from the authority. But their blind daughter had to face the consequences. She is devastated by the events. Then the story shows Ketihamy as an old person and a superior person of their entire generation. By 1950 the entire society of Sabaragamuwa had changed. The paddy fields he developed had then changed into gem mining grounds which attracted people to the money from the mining of gems. This show attracts viewers with a different concept that indulges history and culture. The story mainly focuses on the life of a couple who had to face a lot of challenges in their life and work but they courageously try to overcome the situation. This drama touches on the unknown side of life mixed with historical events. This presents an untold community to the viewers, their life, and their problems. It provides a natural outlook on their life.
