Janak Premalal was born on May 15, 1959, in Karannagoda, Sri Lankan. He completed college at Horana Sripalee College Vidyaratne College, Horana. Further he pursued master’s at University of Jayewardenepura. He is an actor, dramatist, director, and teacher. He is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. He has acted in more than 200 television serials. He is hardworking and passionate about cinema. His parents were both teachers. He completed a degree in Property Administration and valuation Science. He was appointed as a valuation officer at Department of assessments and taxation. He was appointed as an economics teacher in his school. He is a multi-talented person. He married to his love of life Gnanothra. They both have one daughter and a son. Janak was interested in acting and cinemas since he was a child.
