Palitha Silva is an actor in the Sri Lankan film industry, born on August 30, 1967. He is married to Namalee Silva, and they both were born in the same village, Mount Lavinia. He started his theatre journey with the drama Ekadhipathy. For Thawath Ek Wiroopiyek, the state youth award came his way when he was barely 16 years of age for writing the script, directing it, and acting in the play. He directed the play Ballangen Pravesam Wenu in 1984 for which the play acted amazingly at the National Youth Drama Festival and got several awards. He debuted as an actor in 1987 with the film Kawuluwa. He is highly appreciated by the viewers for his movies Sir Last Chance, Anagarika Dharmapala Srimathano, Nilanjana(2017), and Maharaja Ajasath. Apart from the local Sri Lankan films/television programmes, he acted in the international title Shadow of the Cobra. He won the Best Actor award for Kaspa at the State Drama Festival in 1994.
