Saman Lenin, known as Visharad Kottawa lniyage Saman thusitha Lenin kumara, is a vocalist and musician born on May 1, 1980, in Kottava in Unawatuna. He is known in Sri Lanka for Sri Lankan folk music. Saman has a short career in the industry but has sung around 200 songs and is considered a talented artist in Sri Lanka. He completed his education at St. Aloysius College, Galle, and further studies at the University of the Visual and performing arts. His father is a Kottava master. He was an art teacher.
Saman Lenin claimed that he was famous during his school days as an athlete because he was in the school cricket group, swimming, and bodybuilding team. He played cricket in his college under 16 and served as team leader. Saman excelled in art and sculpture. He has five siblings. His films are super six in 2012, Siri Parakum in 2014, Paththiniin 2016, Aladin Saha Puduma Pahana in 2018, and Sangile in 2019.
