Kolam Kuttama is a Sri Lankan television series broadcasted on Swarnvahini TV. Jayprakash Sivagurunathan directed this drama, written by Saddha Mangala Sooriyabandara. It is based on a popular TV serial named Nadagamkarayo. This is a perfect mystery drama for whoever wishes to have a thrilling ride in a fictional world. Its first episode was released on 3 August 2022. It also has an ounce of romance in it, which makes this series tempting and unique from others.

Its music direction gives chills to viewers and elevates the intensity of scenes to another level. This series had a total of approximately 240 episodes. Each episode gave a new turn to the story with impeccable storytelling and exceptional cinematography. The story revolves around the traditional practices of puppetry in the Amabalgonda area. The whole series was shot in villages around Madu Ganga.

The TV series draws inspiration from the rich culture of traditional masks and puppetry native to the Ambalangoda region. Specifically, the show's concept revolves around a renowned local puppeteer and mask-carver, as well as two enigmatic outsiders that enter their world. The beginning of the series picks up from where a previous program called Nadagamkarayo left off - with a questionable victory for the Kolam Kuttama dance troupe against their rival Nadagamkarayo troupe led by Master Ruparathna. In essence, after a controversial win by the Kolam Kuttama dancers, this new serial delves deeper into the stories of the renowned Ambalangoda puppeteers and mask- makers, with some mysterious new strangers disrupting their customary way of life and artistry.
