Bimal Jayakodi is a Sri Lankan actor, born on 21st June 1977 as Jayakodige Dona Dhanuka Bimal Jayakody. His father was a politician cum actor. Bimal started his career as a TV technician. After six years, he got the opportunity to showcase his talent on screen with the series Hada Vila Sakmana, directed by Prasanna Jayakody. While playing in TV dramas, he continued his work as a technician. He has also acted in a stage drama, Apahu Enna Ba. In 2006, Bimal got an opportunity to play in a film. It was a small role in the film Ali Patiyo Oyay Mamai.
