Massa is a very popular teledrama released on Swarnavahini TV. It casts light on a group of people who grew up as an orphan with no identity, no origin, and without names. The main character, Massa is played by a marvellous actor named Dasun Parithana. He did an excellent job of doing justice to this role. He got his name Massa because he was found in a filthy area with abundant houseflies. He grew up with a group of people as illiterate as him, devoid of any facilities and facing the outlast of society for backward classes. They were engaged in illegal activities like petty thefts or pickpocketing. Their struggles woke empathy in the audience. It also illustrates the manipulation by those in power. Throughout his life, Massa is determined to have a glorious future and tries every opportunity to make his dream come true. He saves his group from many forbidden activities.
